Udaynarayanpur Madhabilata Mahavidyalaya was established on 25th July, 2006 under the auspices of the Udaynarayanpur zamindar family. The conception of this college was enabled by the far-reaching vision and generous contribution of this family and to them the college owes eternal gratitude. It is with a deep sense of responsibility and optimism that I assume the role of Principal of Udaynarayanpur Madhabilata Mahavidyalaya , an institution affiliated to the University of Calcutta and deeply rooted in the rich cultural legacy of the ancient Bhurishrestha Kingdom. Established in 2006 under the patronage of the local zamindars by the bank of the flowing Damodar, resplendent with scenic beauty, the college was envisioned to fulfil the educational aspirations of the people of this region, with a special emphasis on empowering women through higher education.
